You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the SUPPLY MANAGEMENT DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will provide customer service and supply procurement assistance within Supply Operations Branch. You will adhere to fiduciary regulations and guidelines when executing procurement actions. You will review Property Orders for accuracy and ensure each order is valid and records for accountable property are established in the proper custodian account. You will verify receipt of individual procurement packages and installation of new equipment into a specified facility or relocation of equipment to another facility and assist with creating and affixing serialized labels. You will update a property database descriptions and monitor inventory levels and issues relative to assigned projects. You will create and manipulate spreadsheets/reports in Microsoft Excel, and has sufficient skills with the Microsoft suite of programs, to include Outlook;

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing customer service to supply inquiries; conducting inventory of supplies; and utilizing automated supply systems. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • I have successfully completed 4 years above high school OR
  • 1 year equivalent to at least GS-4 OR
  • I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to 1 year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal to 100 percent.
