The mission of the Office of Commercial Space Transportation is to ensure the protection of the public, property, and the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States during commercial launch or reentry activities, and to encourage, facilitate, and promote U.S. commercial space transportation.

Duties

Directs the work of subordinate employees and/or managers for more than one organizational unit/project/program within a major subdivision.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.

Qualifications

Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (FV-J or FG/GS-14) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience at the next lower level:Experience executing and/or integrating program management practices in order to manage complex projects or programs across multiple functions and/or disciplines.Experience in program/project management and experience coordinating and resolving complex business, administrative or financial issues.Experience providing oversight, direction, and evaluation of programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, or other mandatory policies and guidelines.QUALITY RANKING FACTOR: “Experience leading, teaching, administering, or instructing in an adult education or training program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s)”.Well-Qualified Definition: Extensive professional experience in the Federal or private sector teaching, administering, supervising, or developing a large/complex adult education program, adult training program, post-secondary school program, etc. Led or supervised the development and review of comprehensive training/course materials and instruction for Federal or private sectors.Qualified Definition: Limited professional experience in the Federal or private sector teaching, administering, supervising, or assisting with the development of a large/complex adult education program, adult training program, post-secondary school program, etc. Led or supervised developing and reviewing comprehensive training/course materials and instruction for Federal or private sectors.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
