About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Project's office administrator responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all administrative and management support functions including, but not limited to: personnel administration, time/attendance/labor, visitor assistance for reservations, permits, special events, and general information.
This position will be located in Monroe City, MO and will allow for situational telework only. This position is NOT eligible for full time telework.
Duties
Provides visitor assistance by providing information on campsites, amphitheater events, special events, beach areas, boat ramps, etc.
Answers questions regarding records and reports for time, attendance, and labor.
Prepares a myriad of reports for the Project Office, e.g., office copier reports, monthly vehicle trip tickets and gasoline reports, etc.
Prepares actions, e. g., recruitment, reassignments, change in work schedules, extensions of appointments, return to duty, leave without pay, seasonal furloughs, terminations, resignations, retirements, promotions, transfers, etc.
Prepares and maintains all records and reports for time, attendance, and labor of all project employees.
Receives all incoming correspondence, to include e-mail, regulations, directives, and insures they are disseminated to appropriate employees.
Maintains calendar for the Project staff regarding commitments, meetings, leave, and training.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Qualified typist required.
- Must possess a valid State motor vehicle operator's license for the class of vehicle being operated based on site specific, job related requirements, and must maintain this license.
- Incumbent may be required to wear the appropriate uniform while on duty.

Minimum Qualifications for the GS-07:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in budget preparation; researching information to resolve administrative problems; and preparing personnel reports using automated programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
