As a Sustainability Advisor, you will organize, implement, and oversee functions related to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions acquisition, supply chain carbon emissions and climate risk management, and building-related sustainability programs, activities and initiatives.
This position is located within the Office of Government-wide Policy located at 1800 F St NW.
Duties
Oversee and manage work geared toward the implementation and oversight of major projects related to fleet sustainability.
Develop and manage processes necessary for the development of major GSA nationwide sustainability policies, strategic goals and initiatives.
Manage major initiatives and oversees work as a GSA leader in providing comprehensive high-level coordination of sustainability initiatives.
Establish and maintain high level partnerships and strategic alliances with key staff members from industry and research organizations.
Serves as a representative and spokesperson for GSA and leads initiatives as executive director of the Senior Sustainability Advisory Group.
Provides independent analyses and evaluations of the effectiveness and efficiency of sustainability operations in meeting the GSA’s objectives and goals.
Requirements

The GS-15 salary range starts at $155,700 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience reviewing, analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of a sustainability program. Such experience must include:
Serving as an advocate for the sustainability program by providing control and technical direction for internal and external stakeholders; and
Developing written products for a sustainability program (i.e. annual sustainability plans, briefing, policies, or performance indicators); and
Representing the organization on sustainability program issues and providing recommendations for improvement.
