This position is located in the Assets Disposition & Receivership Management Unit, Resolution & Receivership Branch and is responsible for legal support to failed IDI receiverships, including asset management and sales, real estate law, environmental law, bank closings, receivership powers and operations, administrative law and corporate law.

Duties
-Assists with analyzing, structuring, drafting and negotiating documentation for corporate transactions, such as marketing and sales of loans and other financial instruments; commercial real estate purchases and sales, acquisition, development, construction and finance; mergers and acquisitions of businesses; joint ventures and other structured transactions; mortgage servicing sales; secured lending transactions for assets other than real property; or transactions involving, options, warrants or other derivatives.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here.
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience serving as a transactional attorney that has assisted with analyzing, structuring, drafting and negotiating documentation in connection with complex asset-related transactions.

J.D. or LL.B Degree required.
And
Active Membership in good standing of the bar of at least one state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
