DUTIES:
Supervisory position. Serve as Mission Planning Lead within the Long Range Standoff program office.
Plan, organize and direct mission planning efforts, including software development and user events.
Direct development of LRSO mission planning integration within APS, CARB, and JMPS.
Provide oversight of mission planning software development contracts.
Develop annual inputs to future years defense program plans in support of Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process.
Represent mission planning at program office Design Reviews, Risk Review Boards, Configuration Control Boards, Stakeholder Meetings, and Software Integration Events.
Review and make recommendations to test plans to ensure mission planning requirements are met.
Participate in agile software development increment planning events; track agile backlog and development metrics.
Highly Desired Skillsets :
Experience in a System Program Office
Experience with Agile software development
Strong background in mission planning, including development, testing, and operations
Familiar with and have knowledge of Air Vehicle Planning System (APS), Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), Common Auto-Router Baseline (CARB)
Experience conducting user events with aircrew
Experience with Air Force Global Strike Command, United States Strategic Command and nuclear operations highly desired
Experience operating, maintaining, testing, or analyzing weapons systems
Supervisor or team lead experience is desired.

- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

- This is a drug testing designated position and is subject to random drug testing
- Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.

- This position will be coded under the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), Engineering and Technical Management Practitioner certification.

- Must exhibit a high degree of judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and the ability to foresee the impact of changing technology.

Operations Research Series 1515, Individual Occupational Requirements: Basic Requirement: Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a broad range of systems operations research analysis techniques and possession of analytical abilities.
2. Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
3. Skill to negotiate and/or defend findings and program support concepts.
4. Ability to lead study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
5. Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
