About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Resource Management, Naval Hospital Pensacola (NHP), in Pensacola, Florida, working hours are Monday-Friday between 0600-1600 hours. May be eligible for some shiftwork/Nights/Weekends/Overtime and/or On-Call.

Duties

Serves as the senior specialist supporting and promoting collaborative efforts to achieve mission requirements and job specialization to ensure timely accomplishment of the assigned mission. Initiates day-to-day adjustments when unusual problems arise and provide the solution to address technical analysis issues. Utilizing professional knowledge of financial and other management related systems and their inter-relationship, provides recommendations in the solution of accounting and operational problems. Responsible for implementation of new or changed regulations, procedures, and analyses of automated systems. Reviews various automated systems to include financial and other inter-relational functional systems and identifies the need for changes to enhance system capability to track and report events and operational data used by local management.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete training and meet position requirements for certification at Level 2 within 2 years of appointment. Failure to obtain and maintain certification may result in adverse action.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
• This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
• This position may be eligible for Situational/Ad-HOC Telework.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
