This position is located at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service; Executive Director, Administrative Resource Center; Managing Director Service Delivery; Funds Management Division, with responsibility for supervising a team of budget analysts and technicians who provide budget support and services to other Federal agencies.
Duties
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will:
-Participate in the staff selection process, hear, and resolve employee concerns, determine employee training needs, keep employees informed of management goals and objectives, and ensure that occupational safety, health, equal employment opportunity, and internal control principles, policies and procedures are complied with. Incumbent will affect minor disciplinary actions and within grade increases, approve leave, career ladder promotions, premium pay requests, and timecards.
-Recommend to the Manager changes in assignments and automation of processes that would improve the efficiency of the workflow; revise internal work methods and practices; develop and implement new approaches and detailed procedures, in order to develop or maintain adequate internal controls over operations.
-Monitor daily workflow. Maintain contact with other functional teams to identify work related problems and changes that may have an impact on customer operations.
-Provide technical advice and policy guidance to the Branch Manager concerning complex budget matters.
-Inform the Branch Manager of latest trends and developments involving the budget process, as well as changes to current regulations, policies, practices, and procedures which may have an impact on the customers.
Qualifications

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, which have equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Assisting in the analysis of automated budgeting and/or accounting systems and proposing resolutions to problems; AND
- Providing guidance for the position of laws, regulations, and policies of budgeting and/or accounting.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
