This position is located in the Environment, Safety, Health and Energy (ESHE) Division, U.S. Mint at Denver. The purpose of the position is to perform operation and maintenance duties for the building utility systems; including water, water treatment, waste water pre-treatment, building piping plumbing systems, and compressed air systems.
Duties
As a Utility Systems Repairer Operator, you will:
Operate, maintain and keep in good operating condition the wastewater pre- treatment plant. Monitor and maintain utility systems throughout the facility.
Inspect, operate and maintain pumps, mixers, sensors, probes and ancillary equipment associated with the system for pre-treatment of production process waste water.
Operate, inspect, oil and repair wastewater, reverse osmosis, condensate, sump pumps, centrifugal and pneumatic pumps, compressed air systems, deep well equipment, cisterns, and checks piping, valves, regulators, and safety devices, throughout the pretreatment process.
Read and record data, and change charts as necessary on steam monitors, water meters, utility monitoring devices and used oil and fuel tanks and associated level and leak detection equipment, daily.
Determine system routes, placing and cutting route openings and placing hangers for proper pitch and elevation. Install, repair and maintain reducing valves and stations, vacuum pumps, expansion locks, circulating pumps, gauges, and pressure regulators needed to support the pressures of the systems.
