Duties

Ensure patient demographic and patient process data entered into the computer systems is valid. Use computer skills and equipment to prepare memorandums, letters, information papers, spreadsheets and graphic representations. Provide processing data on all of the steps and processes involved in consult assistance. Maintains data capture tools and systems to ensure timely and accurate internal referral screening and appointing Serve as privacy liaison for users of clinical and administrative systems. Develops policies and procedures for local implementation of DoD HIPAA Privacy regulation.

Requirements

• All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
• All employees assigned to a Medical Treatment Facility are required to be screened for applicate immunizations regardless of series, based on occupational risk, and are subject to missing/required immunizations.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes developing concepts, strategies, methods and models to implement managed health care; compiles, analyzes and interprets Military Treatment Facility (MTF) statistics on patient treatment, ancillary services, appointment demand and availability so that TRICARE Prime enrollees have access to health care. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience maybe used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
