You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENTS of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

Duties

You will Review and screen Material Request Forms (MRFs) and Purchase Requests (PRs) for accuracy, funds approval, special requirements and item description. You will use Maximo and other automated data systems for preparation and submission of purchase requirements. You will track and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the status of all requisitions and purchases. You will document all purchases in accordance with regulations and instructions. You will maintain suspense file on requisitions submitted until all actions are complete. You will authenticate monthly credit card statement within set deadlines.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods to maintain materials and supplies; 2) Maintaining automated supply systems/programs in accordance with procedures; 3) Tracking and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the status of all requisitions and purchases. AND 4) Resolving all discrepancies with services and material orders, and arranging for rework, replacement, exchange, or return for credit of defective, damaged and/or incorrect material.
