You will serve as a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC in the COMBAT SYSTEMS/ELECTRICAL PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.
Duties
You will troubleshoot and repair Pneumatic systems assigned.
You will be required to test and measure equipment to include, but not limited to Digital Multi-meter, Micrometers, Dial Calipers and Depth Gauges.
You will be required to review and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and writing diagrams.
You will operate individual subsystems of the integrated system in order to run required diagnostic checks and perform routine maintenance on diagnostic programs when required.
You will be required be familiar with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and other applicable manuals related to performing your day to day duties.
You will guide and train sailors in the repair of shipboard equipment utilizing formal work procedures and controlled work procedures with minimal oversight.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Incumbent may be required to work aboard surface vessels while underway on trial runs or regular operations.

Experience using a broad range of automated and non-automated test equipment in testing complex equipment and systems.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, pertinent portions of technical manuals and locally developed drawings and applying them to repair a troubleshooting project.
Experience troubleshooting techniques in order to troubleshoot new, prototype and state-of-the-art electronic equipment and systems.
Experience using sophisticated test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum, network and distortion analyzers, frequency counters and signal generated.
Experience guiding/instructing lower level employees in performance of tasks and ensures established quality standards are met.
Experience applying shop and trade practices to solve operating and repair problems.
