This position is located in the Policy Directorate (AJV-P), in Mission Support Services (AJV-0). The Policy Directorate is responsible for providing operations support and policy/procedures development, implementation, and approval; they also serve as the primary point of contact for the service area/centers and field facilities for standards and procedures issues.
Duties
The Program Manager serves within the Mission Support Services and directs the work of subordinate employees and/or managers for multiple organizational units/projects/programs and across multiple functions and/or disciplines within a major subdivision. The Program Manager reports to an executive. Directs the team in performing analysis to facilitate the management of the ATO’s actions in rule making activities; air traffic environmental policy; air traffic procedures development; unmanned aircraft system (UAS) policy; and policies and standards for airspace structure, design, and allocation. Integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals and objectives, participates in strategic planning for the FAA, and make commitments for major organizations. Leads and integrates the program budget planning processes for all organizational units/projects/programs under his/her control, and projects both short-term and long-term future needs. Participates in planning efforts that cross organizational lines within the major subdivision and LOB/SO.

Qualifications
Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (FV-J or FG/GS-14) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:Experience in planning and developing analysis criteria for the evaluations of acquisition programs and can evaluate the impact and risk on the programs, projects, and activities including Safety Risk Management.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
