About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Operations Division, Revetment Branch. Duty Station: Ensley Engineer Yard, Memphis, TN.
You will serve as the Office Support Assistant for the Revetment Units. You will perform various administrative, management, and fiscal assignments for the Unit in connection with assigned civil works construction, and other administrative support functions assigned to the office.
Duties
Provide administrative support in the areas of fiscal administration, training, property accountability, personnel administration, files and correspondence management, as well as overall Branch office administration.
Receive visitors and/or callers and directs them to the appropriate technical or professional staff personnel.
Coordinate with Resource Management office to ensure that the financial system data is accurate.
Provide personnel advisory services for benefits, pay issues, time keeping and leave.
Initiate personnel actions, training request/actions, incentive awards.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) performing the procedural and administrative work of an office such as making and preparing Government travel arrangements, records management, timekeeping, screening calls and visitors, and maintaining supervisor's electronic calendar; (2) utilizing a financial management tool to prepare data required for yearly budget submission; (3) preparation and coordination of civilian personnel action requests; and (4) knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications to prepare, review and edit correspondences, graphs, charts, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Transcripts are required at the time of application).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
