About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst in the U.S. Army Combined Arms Command (CAC), G8 Resource Management, Budget Operations.
Duties
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Perform a variety of duties in the planning, analysis, formulation, justification, presentation, execution and review of the multi-year budget for the Combined Arms Command elements.
Guide preparation of funding documents for a multitude of appropriations and limitations that provide funding to all installations and activities for current and multi year appropriations.
Responsible for the review, analysis and evaluation of fund requirements for the development, procurement and modification of CAC programs and systems.
Analyze requests from reporting activities to determine adequacy to support approved programs, projects, and conformance with budgetary guidelines.
Evaluate programs and funds received from higher headquarters to determine the need for adjustments to requirements or submission of a request for additional resources.
Consolidate budget estimates into a budget document that reflects the balanced, multi-year funding needs for a total of one or more funds.
Provide technical supervision to several other analysts involved in fund control, developing and distributing budget guidance, monitoring and reporting budget execution, and developing, implementing, operating, and maintaining budget systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
- Mission Essential, the position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position. Failure to obtain this certification within two years from the entry-on-duty (EOD) date may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).

Specialized experience is defined as: Work which includes utilizing web-based financial/accounting management systems to prepare detailed budget reports; preparing narrative justifications in order to identify shortfalls; and performing analyses to develop alternatives within the constraints of approved budgets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
