About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Ctr, Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) located in Vicksburg, MS.

Duties
Develop innovative engineering solutions to increase support to the civil and military Research and Development missions of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center.
Use fundamentals for application and development of software engineering solutions.
Propose solutions to improve processes and maximize mission accomplishments and resource utilization.
Provide project and program management over the design, develop, and delivery of software solutions using various computer languages and frameworks.
Provide decision support solutions via dashboard and reports across project, financial, construction and acquisition business lines.
Provide technical advice to large teams.
Provide technical leadership as a project manager, principal investigator, or team leader.
Communicate with various stakeholders and customers at various levels within the chain of command.

Basic Requirement for Computer Scientist:
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in computer science or bachelor's degree (or higher degree) with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing software required documents, making recommendations for product development and/or present technical briefings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DB-02(GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
