Duties
Assists in the mission of the BOP by managing complex, transformative initiatives of interest to the senior leadership of BOP and the Department of Justice (DOJ). Responsible for leading high-level program efforts and coordinating comprehensive cross-staff initiatives, such as identifying, designing, and implementing Agency-wide program and process improvements. Leads teams (e.g., working groups and steering committees) and works in close collaboration with others at BOP to accomplish high-priority program and process improvements that support BOP’s mission. Plans, organizes, and oversees efforts and projects that are aimed at achieving and improving the quality, effectiveness, and timeliness of program accomplishment. Serves as a senior advisor to management and executive leadership on developing and implementing strategic plans in support of achieving the program objectives.

Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
Experience in spearheading change within an organization to meet strategic goals by leading people towards meeting organization’s vision, mission and goals.
Knowledge and oversight of various programs and policies in order to evaluate, develop and implement strategies to improve the quality, effectiveness and timeliness of program accomplishments.
Experience establishing communications and partnerships internal and external to the agency to build, foster and maintain effective ongoing relationships with stakeholders and agency personnel.
