You will serve as a MATERIAL EXPEDITOR in the FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT BRANCH, PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

Duties

You will unload incoming shipments using hand tools, pallet jacks, and forklifts. You will prepare and package material for shipment by selecting containers, cushioning, labeling, banding, sealing, weighing, and securing for the mode of transportation and destination of items. You will analyze trends and maintain high and low inventories of material for truck stocking or pre-expended bins. You will receive Material Request Forms form mechanics and supervisors, and create Purchase Requests (PR) in MAXIMO for funding approval by the Financial Management Analyst.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
