You will serve as an Electronics Technician position in the Support Equipment (SE) Department, Common and Commercial Systems Division, Common Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)/Test Program Set (TPS) Branch (Code BL21100) of the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division located in Lakehurst, NJ.

Duties
You will maintain awareness and expertise in state-of-the-art techniques for equipment and facility maintenance.
You will provide technical engineering assistance on issues concerning industrial plant equipment.
You will recommend corrective action to the applicable Branch and/or Division for repair /redesign action and establishes a recommended priority.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Operating and maintaining ATE (Automatic Test Equipment), especially the CASS Family of Testers; 2. Providing Electronics Technician and hardware analysis expertise in order to resolve hardware issues with fleet; especially avionics Support Equipment (SE); 3. Providing Subject Matter Expertise for managing an Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) lab, including outfitting and maintaining hardware utilized in the lab, and following NAVAIR policies related to inventory control, security, and safety; 4. Providing expertise in support of SE teams, including hardware troubleshooting and identifying, developing, and testing potential hardware modifications.
