Duties

Assists in the daily operations/functions required to manage a fitness facility. Leads and/or supervises the program operations in the absence of the Facility Manager. Assists in the assessment of facility requirements and helps develop plans and specifications for projects within the Sports, Fitness and Aquatics program. Instructs fitness classes when needed. Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate to also include placing service and/or work orders as needed through DPW. Assists with recommendations for the purchase/construction of equipment and facilities. Performs all necessary administrative duties as assigned, lo include front desk operations and retail sales in the fitness facility. Assists in the publicizing of sports, fitness and aquatic facilities, programs and events.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications
