You will serve as a Aircraft Oxygen Equipment Repairer Leader in the Ordnance Cryogenics Section, Electrical Avionics Ordnance Branch, Components Division of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will operate test equipment (e.g., oxygen test stands, oxygen system component test stands) to verify aircraft oxygen system performance.
You will use measuring instruments to verify aircraft oxygen systems repairs or modifications are in compliance with specifications.
You will overhaul and repair aircraft liquid oxygen components (e.g., pressure switches, pressure opening and closing valves, shut off valves, check valves, regulators, converters) to maintain optimal operating condition.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to do the job without more than normal supervision. Diagnose and repair and disassemble components to select proper replacement parts. 2) Determine cause of operational failure. 3) estimate time required to complete repairs with a more strenuous physical requirement. 4) Troubleshoot pneudraulic and hydraulic components, subsystems, or systems such as transfer pumps, transmissions pumps, landing gear, and landing gear control valves, etc. 5) Test regulators for leakage, inward and outward pressure breathing, oxygen ration, flow suction, safety pressure, flow indicator, and emergency pressure. 6) Rework oxygen bailout bottles, nitrogen and oxygen trailers, LOX purge units, LOX converters, oxygen, carbon dioxide and other types of gas storage cylinders and various types of high pressure gas storage tanks, trailers, cylinders, and bottles.
