You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC LEADER in the Mechanical Shop (Code 930) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will demonstrate proper work methods and provide on the job training for subordinates.
You will ensure safe work practices and good housekeeping while assuring resources are available.
You will coordinate work while assuring proper inter-trade and inter-shop coordination.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.

Experience demonstrating detailed technical knowledge of work operations and applying same in leading mechanics concerning methods for jobs to be accomplished.
Experience communicating changes to workers under his/her leadership.\
Experience demonstrating knowledge of various components, tanks and systems associated with naval submarines and surface ships.
Experience utilizing knowledge of trade theory and techniques in order to lead journeyman through instruction and demonstration of proper work methods.
Experience demonstrating knowledge of trade theory and techniques in order to lead journeyman mechanics through instruction and demonstration of proper work methods.
Experience utilizing marine machinery mechanic systems and equipment.
Experience demonstrating the use of operational theory, check-out procedures, and marine machinery mechanic work.
Experience communicating knowledge and skill to co-workers on components and systems.
