You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the DON, NAVREGSE RCC FORT WORTH, OFFICE OF CSO (N01), COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT (N8) of NAVY REGION SE RESERVE COMPONENT CMD.

Duties

You will use their knowledge and understanding of the various types of Reserve Personnel, Navy (RPN) funds available for utilization. You will ensure Orders ACRN disbursements (Base Pay, Per Diem, etc.) are reflected accurately and timely. You will provide appropriate guidance to Order Writing Specialists on how the RPN funds may be utilized in Navy Reserve Order Writing System(NROWS). You will liquidate Orders and research associated supporting documentation in various (MMPA, RIMS, SABRS,NSIPS, DTS, NROWS, etc.) systems to assist the NOSCs with clearing unliquidated SELRES Orders. You will run, review, work and clear necessary, required financial reports. You will liaison between various echelons to ensure smooth communications are experienced on all levels and ensure FIAR compliance and records retention.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

For GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience verifying financial data. Experience with financial rules and regulations. Experience entering financial data in a financial automated system. Experience reviewing Orders disbursements (Base Pay, Per Diem, etc.) ensuring Orders are reflected accurately and timely.
