This position is part of the NNSA - Los Alamos Field Office, Department of Energy. A successful candidate in this position will serve as Supervisory Security Specialist, providing supervision, management, integration, leadership, direction, coordination, day-to-day guidance and implementation of activities within the AMSS organization.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-03, EN-03, GS-14. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: providing supervision, management, integration, leadership, direction, coordination, day-to-day guidance and implementation of activities within the AMSS organization.
Examples of Specialized Experience:
Overseeing and managing the implementation of policies, procedures, programs, and management systems.
Contributing substantive expertise in formulation, justification, and management of Nuclear Security Program budget elements pertinent to security functions.
Advising senior level management officials to include making decisions on work problems and directs programs with significant resources.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
