The primary purpose of this position is to serves as a senior Logistics Management Specialist and origanization point of contact for capabilities planning and integration of key strategic initiatives to include modernization planning, and future mission workload planning of supply chain, maintenance, and software initiative.
Duties
Responsible for the planning, initiation, and senior leader coordination of Life Cycle Logistics support for relevant major weapon systems or subsystems as required.
Prepares and maintains Concept of Operation (CONOP) for Business Marketing initiatives/campaigns.
Represents the Logistics Directorate with a variety of agency, command, installation and functional area organization activities.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Position. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes overseeing organizational logistics supply chain strategic planning on a wide diversity of organizations in order to project depot capabilities through various methods to ensure complex-level guidance is given in order to plan, manage, and coordinate logistic support.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structure, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the logistics management process.
Thorough knowledge of theories and principles of logistics management planning, development, and execution.
Knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts and production practices to evaluate organic and contractor proposals and activities.
Ability to plan, organize, and control critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of weapon system sustainment workload; and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of complex functions in support of the process.
Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning the efficiency, effectiveness, and cost of program operations.
Ability to establish performance goals and assess progress toward their achievement.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
