The primary purpose of this position is to manage, plan and coordinate the administrative support functions of the AFMC Personnel Support Division, to ensure the day-to-day operations comply with the policies of the Directorate and Division, to support the AFMC Personnel Support Division with a variety of administrative functions and taskings.
Duties
Serves as an Office Manager for the Personnel Support Division and, as such, a liaison between the A1 Front Office, other A1 Divisions and integrator of actions within the A1K Division regarding all administrative management functions
Reviews and evaluates complex responses from the A1K Branches and Operating Locations prior to review or signature by the Division Chief or A1 Director for adequacy, clarity, and completeness of reply
Manages the Personnel Division responses to a variety of taskings
Independently prepares substantive correspondence, speeches, briefings, and other external communications for the Division
Represents the Division at meetings and conferences concerning plans, special events, projects, etc., to communicate the Division's policies and to explain the interests of the Division

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade 11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include providing executive and administrative staff support for a front office group; serving as focal point for organizational programs, policies and procedures; providing advisory services to leadership on a wide spectrum of issues; and applying analytical and evaluative techniques concerning efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to various administrative support functions.
2. Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures.
3. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems.
4. Ability to access or locate information through the use of a personal computer and software programs.
5. Skill in written and oral communications.
6. Ability to maintain good working relationships and to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
