This Nurse (House Manager) position to be filled in the Nursing Department at the Whiteriver Service Unit in Whiteriver, Arizona. The Incumbent will provide direction and leadership to nursing staff, and plan and arrange delivery of hospital services for continuity of comprehensive patient care. The Incumbent will be supervised by the Assistant Nurse Executive.
Duties
Supports Supervisory Clinical Nurses in the supervision of lower graded nurses on nights, weekends and holidays
Provides support, direction, and leadership to nursing staff in coordinates of all ancillary services in the hospital.
Assesses workflow and hospital function. Arranges transports for patients needing elevated level of care.
Monitors critical clinical situations, inclusive of critical staffing levels, and other potentially critical situations.
Provides direct patient care when needed and is able to provide support to each nursing unit. Will be required to float to any or all Nursing areas to provide clinical care.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools.
Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below: For GS-0610-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include Assess, plan, implement, direct and evaluate the care of patients in a hospital facility setting in the Emergency, Labor and Delivery or Critical Care Nursing departments, assign and monitor shift work of subordinate staff, coordinate and support activities to ensure smooth hospital operation for admissions, discharges, and transfers, collaborate with leadership to assure compliance with Joint Commission, Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), etc.
