Duties
Prepares and delivers reports and briefings to managers or the supervisor on study findings and
recommendations.
Provides expert advice and consultation to field office managers to ensure effectiveness of programs
and management processes in a land management environment.
Recommends changes that meet agency and bureau initiatives and program goals, while ensuring
compliance with current laws, regulations, and policy.
Analyze budget projections assessing validity of assumptions and consistency of estimates.
Assist in organizational analysis and review, position management and control, and/or productivity
improvement.
Provides administrative support pertaining to matters such as records, communications, directives,
forms, files, and documentation.
Assist Administrative Staff with timekeeping, travel, purchasing, and other related duties.
Manage the field office Property Management Program.
Manage the field office Fleet Management Program.
Requirements

Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-09 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the difficulty and complexity of the next lower grade (GS-07) of the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience may include: Evaluating and providing analysis, recommending improvements to business management operations; Oversight responsibilities for travel, personnel timekeeping, budget, fleet and property, cooperative agreements, procurement, and payments; Ability to present data, interpretations and conclusions in a clear, concise and logical manner

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related

Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate education. Graduate level education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.

Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level.
Physical Demands: No unusual physical exertion is required.
Work Environment: Work is performed in a typical office setting.
