You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the FLEET SUPPLY IT OPS DIVISION of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.

Duties

You will perform supply and financial related research, material request processing, budget formulation and execution, requisition and procurement. You will perform warehouse management, hazardous material management, distribution, material disposition, record-keeping, and inventory management. You will perform supply and financial tasks utilizing numerous information technology systems and applications. You will coordinate with a multitude of vendors to manage, obligate, and disburse funding for all supply and financial actions within the command. Incumbent performs a variety of property accountability. You will deal tactfully with managers, supervisors and other management representatives of DoD and Navy activities on matters involving organizational performance and/or other potentially sensitive matters is required. You will perform periodic on-site assessments and inspections, research, reconciliation and reporting requirements to ensure regulatory compliance by command personnel. You will utilize interpersonal and communication skills to interact with Naval and Marine Corps Commands, other Government activities/agencies and civilian contractors.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to complete mandatory training required in the performance of duties in the areas of supply, HAZMAT, Travel, Government Commercial Purchase Card and Property Accountability.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience is defined as: Experience obtaining information, purchase quotes and requisitions to make purchases utilizing the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC); Experience maintaining complete and accurate GCPC purchase documentation and inputting the documentation into the Command Financial Management System (CFMS); Experience working with travel systems/databases (such as Defense Travel System, Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), and Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR); Experience assisting in processing travel authorizations and vouchers to ensure they are audit compliant and in accordance with current policy and procedures; Experience organizing and tracking inventory of various supplies and proper disposal of excess items; Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, process control charts, word processing documents, and developing reports.
