This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: About the Position: Position will be filled as a Term appointment not to exceed 13 MONTHS. This position may be extended up to six years, and may be converted to a permanent appointment without further competition.

Duties

Perform as a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) with responsibility for representing the Contracting Officer in verifying/assuring total provisions, conditions and specifications of laundry and dry cleaning contract. Evaluate services provided by Contractor by comparing them with established criteria (contract provisions and/or military regulations) and prepares checklists and reports reflecting findings. Provide overall assistance and guidance to all customers in accordance with US Army Reserve Command, US Army Forces Command, and Department of Army regulations. Extract data/information from records and prepare and submit recurring and special reports, such as a Contract Management Review, to immediate supervisor. Maintain quality assurance files and records in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Irregular hours of work may occasionally be required to include evening and/or weekend hours.
• Incumbent will be required to travel up to 10% of time.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves: 1) applying surveillance techniques for evaluating contractor's performance in accordance with contract specifications; and 2) compiling quality data to prepare reports on contractor performance, violations, and deficiencies noted during surveillance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
