Duties
You will assist senior specialists and supervisor in conducting program functions.
You will develop and coordinate a variety of basic/routine reports, staff actions, program briefings, presentations and other related actions.
You will apply analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider, and resolve issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature.
You will research legal and regulatory material to obtain factual information and/or interpretation for use by the supervisor or co-workers.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Students must be currently enrolled in a full-time academic program at an institution of higher education as defined in 20 U.S.C. § 1001. A full-time academic program is defined by the individual institution. Students must have completed at least one full year of their academic program prior to appointment. Students must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and making satisfactory progress towards the receipt of a bachelor's or graduate degree. At the time of application, students must provide proof of full-time academic enrollment and academic standing as well as a copy of their transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
Prior to the start date, the student must provide an official set of school transcripts. Individuals must meet the qualifications and eligibility requirements throughout the duration of the appointment and are required to provide up-to-date transcripts (unofficial are acceptable) at the end of each trimester, semester, or quarter, which include grades for the previous term, unless requested more frequently by the supervisor or HR office for verification of enrollment and academic standing as proof of continued eligibility for participation in the program. Students who fail to meet and maintain eligibility requirements may result in termination.

Education
QUALIFYING EDUCATION for Student Trainee Positions: NH-2:
- Completion of 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree OR
- Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education OR
- Completion of 2 academic years of graduate level education, or a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree
NH-1:
- Completion of 1 full academic year of post-high school study.
The required education must lead to a bachelor's degree with specialization in or directly related to the field in which the student trainees will receive training on the job. The degree of specialization in this field must satisfy on graduation the specific educational requirements in the qualification standard for the corresponding two-grade interval positions.
