You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Comptroller Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will do account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data, prepare and analyze reports. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations by the Government. You will review pay, payroll records, and payroll reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will perform work to establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts for civilian personnel of the Federal Government.

• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level 01 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using automated financial/accounting systems to maintain financial data; 2) Examining, computing, and extracting data from records and databases to prepare financial reports; 3) Answering requests and providing advice to employees, supervisors and other staff on pay/financial related rules, regulations, and procedures; and 4) Performing general office or program support duties such as maintaining office records; making and verifying arithmetic computations; and reviewing documents for completion and accuracy.
