The Human Health and Performance (HHP) Program Integration Branch has leadership opportunities available to coordinate cross-discipline integration with direct interface to the Program, engagement with HHP leadership, and strategic planning for the HHP Team supporting NASA's exploration programs. Applicants will be considered for the HHP Principal Lead Integrator role to the Orion Program and may be considered for other roles with similar duties and qualifications.
Duties
Serve as primary Human Health and Performance (HHP) interface and Health and Medical Technical Authority (HMTA) representative to the Program, Project, and/or Commercial Provider throughout the lifecycle.
Identify, elevate, and lead technical issues to resolution in coordination with Program counterparts, HMTA leadership, HHP system managers, subject matter experts, and/or HHP management.
Steer the formulation and execution of cross-cutting integrated solutions to technical problems and ensure Program needs/concerns are addressed.
Coordinate the development of HHP/HMTA positions for technical issues and communicate those back to Program/Project leadership.
Provide expertise and guidance to ensure the implementation of standards and requirements into vehicle/system design and operations are aligned with HHP and/or HMTA objectives.
Lead HHP product development, review, and ownership in support of programmatic and institutional boards, milestone reviews, and/or technical meetings.
Support, integrate, and/or sponsor inputs for the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution cycle, Internal Task Agreements, and/or work plans to sustain HHP Program support.
Advise HHP management, HHP technical leadership, and Program/Project/Provider on technical and organizational strategies and the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches as they apply to the customer, HHP, and/or HMTA.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
NASA utilizes OPM-approved qualification and rating requirements specific for Aerospace Technology (AST) positions which recognizes NASA's unique aerospace work. The specific qualifications and minimum education requirements are further described below and within the education section of the job announcement.
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
Working with systems engineering and integration, project management, risk management or budgetary principals;
Participating in system engineering life cycle reviews of operating programs, such as identifying current specifications, standards, regulations, or their applications;
Coordinating or leading engineering teams that are responsible for identifying and resolving complex technical issues.

Education
Basic Education Requirement: You must have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with a major in one of the following:
a) Engineering from a college or university that has ABET accredited engineering programs
b) Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science or other field of Science
c) Computer Science that included 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of course work in any combination of mathematics, statistics and computer science with at least half of those hours in mathematics and statistics courses that included differential and integral calculus.
If you did not complete a qualifying bachelor's degree, you may be eligible if you have obtained a graduate degree in an AST qualifying field, as listed above.
Degrees in engineering technology are
not considered qualifying for this position.
