You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Supply Chain Management Center of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will coordinate with program managers and logistics management specialist in the development of supporting data, conduct research an coordinate logistics support requirements and methodologies in support of equipment/systems. You will assists senior level specialists on equipment/system requirements and design review, special program board reviews, and logistics in-process review conferences. You will maintain close surveillance over logistics program documentation, significant action reports, and related data received from field personnel. Inputs correct and timely information on support capabilities, proper procedures for requesting services, and requirements for developing and implementing acceptable support agreements You will review blueprints and other technical data. You will assist with development and training for the work section. You will review, validate, and certify work section repair and buy request.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. You must be willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, monitoring, and coordinating logistic support plans directly supporting the maintenance and re-procurement activities for equipment/systems through the life cycle. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

OR

Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the qualifying education plus my percentage of the qualifying experience equal one hundred percent.
