In this position, you will serve as a Contract Specialist for Region 6, Mission Support Division, Procurement Branch. The ideal candidate will possess skills necessary for preparation of reports and maintaining records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinate the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor. They will also have experience in execution of various contract types and vehicles.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Basic Requirements for IC-12 A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field;or At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. Applicants who meet the criteria for Superior Academic Achievement qualify for positions at the GS-7 level. The following table shows the amounts of education and/or experience required to qualify for positions GS-7 thorough GS-12 covered by this standard. To qualify for this position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Coordinating the development of written communication and presentations to internal and external stakeholders related to the administration of Federal Contracts; Reviewing contractual actions for compliance with laws, statutes, Executive Orders, regulations and procedures applicable to procure and/or administer contracts for a variety of equipment or services; and, Performing pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions such as cost evaluation, surveys, and contract negotiations.
