The primary purpose of this position is to supervise a group of employees performing grants management operations. Providing administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the team. Perform the administrative and human resource management functions for the staff supervised. Support and coordinate with State, Tribe, Local officials, and private nonprofit agencies to identify mitigation opportunities.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this position at the IC-13 level (starting salary $115,118), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Providing advice to internal and external staff regarding grants management, such as Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) programs that include: Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP); Building Resilient Infrastructure Community (BRIC) Program; and Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Program; Analyzing or evaluating information to recommends actions for resolution of conventional problems or issues; and Supervising employees to include setting standards and employee performance goals.
