The primary purpose of this position is is as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), to serve as the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Flight member (AFRC). The incumbent assists the Flight Commander for the unit in production. Military AFSC: (1N271A) Grade:O-2 First Lieutenant

Duties

Duty 1: Provides Expertise for executing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), geospatial intelligence, and intelligence production for combat mission planning and execution. Duty 2: Plans, organizes, and executes the activities of the ISR Flight Duty 3: Serves as an AFRC ISR specialist, interfacing with AFRC and AF Operations Centers, to maintain command/control/oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve Forces within the ISR Group as well as Regular Air Force (RegAF) ISR units, missions, and operations Duty 4: Responsible for managing and ensuring that work complies with requirements and meets customer needs Duty 5: Assists in implementing crew and ground training requirements. Analyzes directives from higher headquarters and information available in the form of accident and mission readiness reports in order to develop operational plans. standard operating procedures

Requirements

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • The incumbent must be eligible for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access

  • This position has been identified as a drug testing designated position. The incumbent of this position may be selected for random drug testing
  • As necessary. to meet special or essential unscheduled activities, may be required to work an uncommon tour of duty with brief advance notice
  • This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties: however.
  • the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA).

Qualifications

This is a GG-9 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-9 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-9 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. *** Salary ranges includes local market supplements *** EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Must be a fully qualified intelligence specialist, preferably having operational experience in two of the following intelligence disciplines/operations-HUMTNT, GEOINT/MASTNT, SIGINT, All-Source Analysis/Fusion Analysis. DCGS, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, collection management, analytical production management, and dissemination; .knowledge of ISR requirements and associated processes to support Combatant Commands and Theater Air Force Component Commands and understanding of ISR concepts, capabilities, and operations. Knowledge must include laws, regulations. policies, and precedents which affect operational programs and related support resources; knowledge of ISR plans and policies pertaining to ISR operations and unit operational activities; knowledge of organizational principles and practices, program goals, missions, functions, administrative operations of the ISR Group, 10 AF and HQ AFRC; knowledge and understanding of a large range of staff concepts, objectives, policies, management/organizational techniques, and military command and ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions. conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions. and package the process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for management use and decision-making and ability to plan and organize activities, manage multiple taskings, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Must be a fully qualified intelligence specialist, preferably having operational experience in two of the following intelligence disciplines/operations-HUMTNT, GEOINT/MASTNT, SIGINT, All-Source Analysis/Fusion Analysis. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
