You will serve as a Investigative Operations Assistant in the Office of the Chief Master-at-Arms (CMAA) of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND.

Duties

You will conduct preliminary investigations, research, and gather information for alleged or suspected violations of regulations, policies, or procedures. You will review official records to obtain necessary information and evidence. You will gather facts and information by conducting interviews and reviewing written statements. You will prepare reports to include documentary evidence received through the examination of complainants and witnesses. You will answer questions concerning regulatory procedures and policies to help solve specific problems during an investigation.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Collecting, obtaining, and organizing information to maintain data base records (entering, searching, retrieving, editing and deleting data); 2) Using word processing and spreadsheet software; 3) Reviewing and accurately compiling information for reports; and 4) Using effective oral communication when working with customers. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Physical Demands: The work is administrative in nature and is primarily sedentary. Some physical activity such as walking, bending, stooping or carrying light items may be required. Standing for prolonged periods may be required during major RTC events. Some driving of an automobile may be required. There may be short periods of moving around to check doors and locks. Operational situations may require varied hours of work and shift work. Required to pass a medical physical as a condition of employment. Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment, in a car, and in the elements depending on event evolutions and based on the time of year, personnel will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (cold, heat, snow and rain).
