About the Position: Incumbent ensures the timely movement of persons and material by government or commercial transportation. Transportation Program involves national and worldwide movements of passengers, and freight via all major modes of transportation where many moves are of a non-recurrent nature and the types of traffic include commodities requiring special handling.
Duties
Represents as the authenticating authority for all accountable forms relating to the transport management function which commits resources and payments to vendors.
Plans, directs and coordinates those functions essential to an integrated transportation and traffic management program for the installation.
Establishes internal policies, plans, organization and procedures for accomplishment of assigned functions.
Establishes policy and procedures relating to the issuance of travel orders and transportation for movement of personnel on official travel.
