This position is located in the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS) program and is multi-faceted and is directed with the reduction of wildlife damage as it relates to agriculture, human health and safety, public and private property, and natural resources.
Duties
The duties may include, but are not limited to:
Serve as timekeeper for Time and Attendance processing, in accordance with appropriate (i.e., WebTA) policies and procedures.
Prepare or provide guidance on domestic and foreign travel authorizations and vouchers for the work unit.
Coordinate the work unit's procurement activity for services, equipment, and supplies within the delegated micro purchase procurement authority and Federal Supply Schedule limitations.
Maintain and manage administrative and program files in accordance with Federal records management policies, procedures, schedules and guidelines.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- Individuals who were born male after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
FOR THE GS-07 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
Communicates and works effectively within team members that are geographically dispersed.
Reviews agency policy and regulations to ensure adherence to operations relating to procurement, travel, and payroll.
Experience using automated administrative systems, such as, Time and Attendance, travel, and procurement.
Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
