Duties

You will adapt electronic instruction materials or prepare specifications and sketches to meet special use or limited parts availability needs or equipment modifications. You will determine the impact of repairs or adjustments on related integral devices of controls equipment. You will interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and local procedures to determine troubleshooting and operational performance parameters. You will accept and verify quantity NSN, and condition code on incoming assets. You will receive job orders, assure correct job order is assigned to items inducted and provides shop supervisors with job order for work to be accomplished. You will prepare material/part requirement lists based on induction limited technical inspection and personal evaluation of the condition of the item, defect reports, missing items lists, etc. You will participate in meetings, conferences, and pre-induction inspections required to facilitate production. You will expedite delivery of parts and material to meet production schedules by up-grading priorities, identifying alternate sources and communicating status with all parties involved. You will initiate requests for fabrication of parts and material as required. You will prepare and submit data packages for materials and/or hardware required for fabrications. You will obtain repair parts and materials on the basis of production schedules. You will initiate debits and credits for material. You will maintain a usage record of all repair parts and materials

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination and annual examination.
