About the position: This position will be assigned to the Blakeslee Air Force Recreation Area. This is a Regular-Part time position with 24 guaranteed hours per week. Duties will include carpentry, painting, appliance repair and landscaping. Must be able to complete a physical. Moderate to heavy physical effort is required. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds or more, pushing and moving furniture.

Duties

Applicate must have basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, and gardening. Carpentry duties such as measuring, cutting, and construction or repairing wooden structures. Painting duties to include interior and exterior walls, fences, doors and trim. Occasionally performs minor repairs on appliances such as garbage disposals, stoves, water heaters, washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc. Removes and installs appliances. Performs sodding and landscaping work to include planting and maintenance of flower beds. Runs hand lawnmowers and riding lawnmowers. Clears small trees and bushes using hand saw, hatchet or chain saw. Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies and materials to and from trucks. Moves and arranges furniture as directed. Operates motor vehicles including mowers. Performs minor operator maintenance. Must be able to work under extreme environmental conditions ( Heat of summer, cold of winter ). Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries. This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
