About the position: This position will be assigned to the NAF Accounting office at Seymour Johnson, AFB.. Physical Ability: Chosen applicants will be required to pass a lift test of 20 pounds. Performs accounting duties that requires detailed knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and processes application to retain and cost environments. Provides input on processes associates with Accounts Payable, Revenue Accounting, and Payroll.

Duties

Assists manager in reviewing reports at the end of every month to ensure financial statements are accurate. Maintains continued liaison between MWR activities to coordinate prompt solutions to problems as they arise.Reconciles accounts balances with general ledger on a monthly basis, using double entry accounting procedures. Performs daily review, analysis, and reconciliation of operational and project accounting data. Oversees and corrects employee timecards and temporary changes. Reviews payable files to ensure receiving reports are posted correctly. Qualifying Experience: Preferred two plus years of NAF Accounting the demonstrates knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices. Preferred knowledge in accounting systems such as Discover Viewer, SAIS, PaymentNet, and Paymentech. Knowledge in the understanding of NAF regulations, guides and precedents sufficient to flow individuals to interpret and apply them in a variety of accounting situations. Knowledge of end-to-end NAF GL possess and associated technology platforms. Knowledge of the accounting system sufficient to flow individual funds and specific monies from initiation through expenditure stages in order to trace discrepancies in the system. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
