About the position: This position will be assigned to the Davis-Monthan AFB Community Center.
This is a Regular Part Time position. Regular-part time positions are guaranteed 20 hours but may work up to 40 hours per week and are entitled to benefits such as health, life insurance, 401k, and retirement.
Must be able to work a variety of schedules - uncommon tour of duty.
Duties
Develops plans and submits to the Community Center Manager for recruiting and non-recruiting activities, special events and joint community programs to make maximum use of available facility encompassing manpower, logistical support, marketing and publicity. Events include community center events, weddings, baby showers, private parties, promotion parties, retirements and other special event to be held at Community Center. Determines costs and pricing associated with events. Searches fir resources such as entertainers, instructions and other personnel required to make the program a success. Organizes and operates the approved programs, activities and services including set up and tear down requirements. Assists the Community Center Manager in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the ongoing center activities from the stand point of participants, resources, unforeseen developments and program objectives and prepares after-action reports. Recommends new programing activities, to include type of format and resources the activity would require. Assists individuals with special interests to develop clubs or special interest groups. Greets customers and conducts facility and conducts facility tours. Develops a quarterly and yearly program calendar of events which is used to prepare budgets. Includes all program costs to include supplies, services and equipment needed to support programs. Decorates facilities and sets up displays to reflect holiday program themes. Solicits and trains volunteers as needed. Maintains extensive leisure information service for both on and off-base recreational programs and facilities. Serves as the building custodian, maintains 332's fire inspection folders, purchasing all supplies and inventory of the facility and maintains PCard, approves SETS and TBSS. logs NAF. Inspects facility to ensure all health and safety are met. Researches, hires and all records for instructional classes are current and instructors are paid. Forecasts the Center's expenses from quarter to quarter and makes a budget for the year. Ensures the Center implements core programs and maintains standards set by Air Force. Provides full rage of supervisory duties for NAF employees. May assist as needed with installation events as directed. Briefs on-base and off-base organizations regarding the variety of programs offered by Community Center. Assists in the performance of liaison duties between Community Center and base organizations. Perfoems other duties as assigned.
Physical effort: Physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in vent development and execution of recreational and family programs. Experience must have included responsibility for planning, programming, implementation and evaluation of programs to include staffing, logistical requirements, and budgeting. Must be proficient in the use of computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office). Must have excellent professional customer service skills or related experience in handling customers. Must be able to work a variety of schedules - uncommon tour of duty.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
