This position is in the Office of Mission Support, Office of Management and Administration - Research Triangle Park, Facilities Management and Support Division, Facility Operation Branch. About: Office of Mission Support This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.*Work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized as described in the Benefits section.

At the entry level of this position, you will:

Qualifications

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-07 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-05 level defined as assisting in the preparation of reports or projects OR gathering data for process improvement and recommendations for improvement of processes; - OR 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement (Superior Academic Achievement Definition) degree in an academic discipline related to this position;- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Your application package will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of facility operations and maintenance; 2) Ability to develop work plans and schedules for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and facilities; 3) Skill in written communication sufficient to prepare performance reviews of facilities; 4) Ability to analyze facility reports in order to provide recommendations for process improvement; 5) Ability to learn and adhere to federal contracting rules, procedures, and policies; 6) Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships; 7) Skill in oral communication. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education

You must have a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration; OR specialized experience as described above.
