You will serve as a VIRTUAL TRAINING PROGRAM MANAGER (RANGES) in the Fleet/Joint Training Technologies Branch of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will function as the main representative to Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) range systems activities and also interface with external NCTE stakeholders.
You will ensure timely, accurate and well-documented input into the development of Navy-wide policy, program, and process development to maintain or enhance Navy-wide training technology in support of Navy forces worldwide is provided.
You will effectively lead and analyze NCTE live ranges project status and result implementing changes in goals, objectives, or policy as needed..
You will participate in the development and analysis of budget and program objectives in support of training and technology goals to include equipment and personnel requirements.
You will prepare technical correspondence reports and assemble and disseminate current status of all work with assigned area of responsibility.
You will attend conferences, symposiums, exhibitions, demonstrations, and visit other government training facilities, agencies and defense industries to remain continuously alert to transformational warfighting concept and changing technologies.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
- Incumbent is expected to attend schools and conferences to attain/maintain expertise, and provide command positions.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Planning, prioritizing and executing financial and budgetary requirements to support programs.
Developing staffing standards covering complex program functions or missions.
Preparing project papers, senior management level briefings/presentations, and executive correspondence.
Working with environmental laws and regulations as they impact Fleet training operations including an understanding of impact of at-sea Fleet operations with regard to marine mammals and endangered species and unexploded ordnance issues related to living training ranges.
Using information technology including word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
