You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will oversee the review of the contractor's quality assurance management program for compliance to contract specifications.
You will evaluate and recommend improvements for the contractor quality control program.
You will review and verify the accuracy of as-built drawings in support of invoice payments.
You will maintain extensive contact with key contractor representatives to quickly resolve problems and maintain construction schedules.
Requirements
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes when making site visits, as determined by site conditions and applicable safety regulations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Reviewing the Preventative Maintenance program to ensure existence and completeness for all assets, coordinates across PWDs on job plan execution, and analyzes maintenance reports and utility work type metrics to identify trends and recommend corrective action; 2) Monitoring the progress of all projects to enable timely and quality execution; 3) Screening all work requirements considering issues of safety, urgency, health, funding availability, and security and validates/edits the priority to properly maintain the utility and minimize life cycle costs; and 4) Coordinating work of and between government forces and contractors to minimize delays that could result in excessive costs or impacts to the government.
