These positions are located in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR), Institution Risk Branch Section, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of risks related to large complex financial institutions. Selectee's for these positions will be assigned to work in one of the following locations: Washington, D.C., San Francisco, CA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, or Richmond, VA.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. For CG-14 level: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience in analyzing financial risks and controls; developing written reports and communicating findings for financial institutions; experience must include work experience in two or more of following areas: earnings/condition analysis, solvency analysis, balance sheet management, financial controls assessments, deposit insurance pricing, resolution planning, or stress testing. For CG-15 level:  To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 14 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience in analyzing financial risks and controls; developing written reports and communicating findings for financial institutions; experience must include work experience in three or more of following areas: earnings/condition analysis, solvency analysis, balance sheet management, financial controls assessments, deposit insurance pricing, resolution planning, or stress testing. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
