About the Position: This position is located in the 325TH Medical Wing, Resource Management, Tyndall Air Force Base, Bay, Florida.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense.
Duties
Performs special projects, studies and tasks to ensure efficient operations and effective utilization of resources throughout the Hospital.
Identifies critical tasking, potential customer base, key performance indicators-and measurement criteria.
Develops and implements plans for assessing and measuring effectiveness and maximizing utilization.
Collects and assembles data for analysis and presents data in graphs, charts and narrative form for management reviews.
Reviews available manpower and space to determine most effective utilization of military and civilian employees, including reservists, residents and contractors.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross.
- This position has been designated "Inclement Weather Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 1 % of the time.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience such as: supervised data analysis of an organization's directives, policies, and procedures; utilize health care automation systems to determine health care eligibility, enrollment, and benefits; conduct analysis for reports; utilize automated systems to prepare charts and graphs for a medical treatment facilities reports; and prepare written reports and presentations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Health Care Administration; Health Information Management; Data Analytics; Health Informatics; Business Administration etc.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
