Duties
If selected at the GS-06 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity.
Assists other contracts personnel in resolving problems with Trusted Agent function workload, progress payments, and contract closings.
Plays an integral role in influencing the achievement of Agency Level Performance Indicators that are associated with the Contract Closeout, Canceling Funds, and contract deliveries.
Maintains contact with customer and contractors under established contracts in order to discuss and attempt to resolve difficulties related to scheduling deliveries, availability of goods and meeting terms of purchase agreements, etc.
Conducts preliminary review of both documents (creates an excel spreadsheet to compare both sets of data) and identifies discrepancies to the Contract Administrator/Administrative Contracting Officer.
Establishes, maintains and utilizes databases developed by the team to assure suspense dates are met and that the contract data reflects contractor performance accurately and is available for validation.
Notifies the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) of input forms and procedures required to affect action, contracts production, and quality assurance elements to verify or secure required input data.
Requirements

Qualifications
To qualify for a Procurement Technician, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
GS-06:
Assisting with performing technical and administrative contracting support by updating, maintaining, and verifying contract documents;
Assisting with resolving routine or reoccurring contract content, formatting issues, and discrepancies to support contract close out actions;
Assisting with inputting data to an automated procurement database to compile and extract data for statistical reports;
Assisting with communicating with customers/contractors to discuss and attempt to resolve contract terms.
GS-07:
Performing technical and administrative contracting support by updating, maintaining, and verifying contract documents;
Resolving routine or reoccurring contract content, formatting issues, and discrepancies to support contract close out actions;
Inputting data to an automated procurement database to compile and extract data for statistical reports; Communicating with customers/ contractors to discuss and attempt to resolve contract terms.
B. Education: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

The transcripts must include your name, the name of the college or university, class/course list, completed number of credits/hours, and the date degree conferred (if applicable). Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Licenses must be current at time of application.
GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
